For me is more important the validity because with vality I measure what it is important to measure, what my students have studied, to what they have been exposed. Reliability is important but in the second place. As I understand if my tests meet what is called validity for sure they will be reliable. they will show the same result in the first or second try. Julio
I understand that in this way, too. Let's imagine that I have designed a test for 3er grade of primary school. there are three third grades. My test is valid if I care about the length of the test, the contents I include and it seems to work well when applying it. consequently it will show how reliable is when the students' score show consistency, let's say an average grade between 8 and 9 in all the sections. So, that would be telling me that my test has validity and as a result is it reliable. Tell me if that relationship doesn't work like that? Julio
In my opnion validity is more important than reliability because if an instrument does not accurately measure what it is supposed to measure, there is no reason to use it even if it measures consistently. I know that reliability is a prerequisite for establishing validity but a reliable assessment is not sufficient condition for validity. Raquel.
I think that validity is more important because it mains purpose is defused opposition for that reason validity take into account three important areas of a test; the content which has to do with what the test contains, the method which has to do with the way in which the students are asked to work or develop the material, and the construct which has to do with the underlying ability that the test will be measure. On the other hand reliability just has to do with analysis of the scores and the measurement of knowledge and abilities among students. I think that if my test is valid it also be reliable. Fátima Crespín.
Talking about the test. In terms of validity I think it is ok because as we can see there are like three block in which the tester is constantly getting information about the same topic to see if the testee has undestood each one of the topics. It might measure what is suppossed to measure, only three topics. In terms of reliability it might be changeable it might or not show the same results each time it is taken. To find out if it is reliable I by myself have to see the result in a group and find out if the scores are constant. Julio Beltran
I think that validity is more important because it has a specific purpose. Validation is used to reach a conclusion about the testee's ability in a specific content. A test is valid when it measures a specific content or when it has a specific porpuse. And when it happens we can say that it is reliable.. Magdalena!!!
For me both of them are really important. they work together in a test. If a test is not valid so it could not be reliable. Every single test needs to have face and content validity. In that way a test also can be realible because teachers measure what they really want and what students have learned. Ana Maria
validity is more important than reliability because you gather evidence of what students have learned.Although both are important because reliability is the consistency of your measurement, that measure is considered reliable if a person's score on the same test given twice is similar. silvia
reliability and validity are related to each other. both are important methods of mesarument. we can use them in the same or different test we would like to measure. For example we can measure student verbal and written ability. Furthermore, we can measure each of these in two ways. First, we can use a written, paper-and-pencil exam, and we are measuring validity and reliability silvia

Julio... are you talking about the analysis of the quiz I sent? If so, that has to be sent by email, as an attachment.
